In 2017, Go To Places was asked to put together an educational tour of Kent and Hertfordshire by a group of academics from Denmark, Germany and The Netherlands.
The brief was to visit and where possible participate in a range of activity experiences over a full three-day visit. The group was accompanied by a Visit Kent staff member who acted as tour-guide.
Visits included cycling the Viking Way in Thanet, meeting the team at Thanet Diving, exploring the Ramsgate Tunnels and taking part in activities at Bewl Water and Lee Valley White Water Centre – including white water rafting. In addition, there were visits to local food producers, a walking tour of the city of Canterbury and speakers from activity related organisations in Kent during the evenings.
The project was delivered within a short time-frame and on budget.
